Threads post preview

Check how your post reads before you publish it — line breaks, links and length — on a phone-sized and a computer-sized card.

Write your post to see how it reads…

A neutral preview of your text, not the Threads app itself. Fonts and spacing differ a little between devices.

What the preview shows

Write or paste your post and the card beside it shows how the text reads in a feed-sized column: your line breaks, where long paragraphs wrap, your links and your topic tag. Switch between Phone and Computer to see the narrow and the wide layout.

This is a neutral preview made by Govir, not a copy of the Threads app. Fonts, spacing and how links look differ a little between the Threads app, its website and different phones, so treat it as a reading check rather than a pixel-perfect screenshot.

What to check before you post

  • The first line. On a phone, the first line or two are what people see while scrolling. Does yours give a reason to stop?
  • Line breaks. Short paragraphs are easier to read on a phone. Blank lines between ideas help.
  • Links. Too many links make a post look like an ad, and Threads refuses more than five (Threads API: Posts). On a text-only post, the first link usually becomes a preview card.
  • Length. The limit is 500 characters, with emoji counted as their UTF-8 bytes. The preview warns you when you're over; the character counter shows the details.
  • Topic tag. One per post, 1 to 50 characters. It helps people who browse a topic find you.

Phone or computer?

Most people read Threads on a phone, so check the phone width first. A post that looks balanced on a wide screen can turn into a long block on a phone, and a line that fits on one row on a computer may wrap awkwardly.

Questions

Is my text saved or sent anywhere? No. The preview runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent to Govir.

Can I preview images or a carousel? Not here. In Govir's editor you see your media, alt text and the whole thread before you schedule it.

Why doesn't it look exactly like Threads? On purpose: it's Govir's own card, so nobody mistakes it for the Threads app.
