You can delete your data from Govir at any time. This page explains your options.

Delete your Govir account

  1. Sign in to Govir.
  2. Go to Settings → Profile and scroll to Danger zone.
  3. Click Delete account and confirm.

Type your account's email address to confirm. This deletes, right away, your account and the workspace you own: connected social accounts and their access tokens, posts, drafts and scheduled posts, uploaded media, analytics, Inbox, AI history, templates, your leaderboard entries and your waitlist entry. A paid plan is cancelled at once. We send a confirmation to your email. Backups that still hold your data are deleted within 30 days. Billing records we are required to keep by law are retained for the legally required period. Posts already published on Threads stay on Threads.

Disconnect a Threads account

  1. Go to Settings → Accounts.
  2. Click Disconnect next to the account.
  3. Choose whether to keep its history (its posts and stats) or to delete it.

We delete the account's access token immediately. If you choose to delete, its posts and stats go at once. If you keep them, they are hidden while the account is disconnected and come back when you connect the same account to the same workspace again. You can delete a kept history at any time in Settings → Accounts → Kept history. Posts already published on Threads stay on Threads — delete them in the Threads app if you want them removed.

Remove Govir from Threads

You can also revoke Govir's access from Threads itself: in Threads, open Settings → More settings → Website permissions and remove Govir. Threads notifies us automatically: we delete the account's access token at once and disconnect it, keeping its posts and stats hidden in Govir until you reconnect it or delete them.

When you remove Govir there, you can also ask for your data to be deleted. Threads sends us that request, and we delete everything Govir holds from that Threads account right away: its access, the posts published and scheduled through Govir, drafts written for it, stats and replies.

Request deletion by email

Send a request from the email address of your Govir account to support@govir.app with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Deletion confirmation

When deletion is requested through Threads, you receive a confirmation code and a link to a page on govir.app that shows the request and its outcome. If you have questions about a request, contact support@govir.app with that code.
