Title Case follows the usual style guides: every word starts with a capital except short words such as a, the, and, to and on, unless they open or close the title or follow a colon.

Sentence case starts each sentence and each new line with a capital and keeps a lone "i" as "I". Names in the middle of a sentence become lowercase, so check them before you post.

Changing the case of a link can break it: many addresses are case-sensitive after the domain. Hashtags and @mentions are read the way you wrote them too, and a #CamelCaseTag is easier to read than #camelcasetag. So the converter leaves anything that starts with http://, https://, www., # or @ exactly as it was, and changes only the words around it.

Readability on social media

All capitals read as shouting and are slower to read for long text; screen readers may spell out some all-caps words letter by letter. Keep capitals for a word or a short line. For posts, sentence case is the most readable; for a headline or a list title, Title Case.

When you write for Threads, the Threads character counter checks your post against its 500-character limit, counting emoji the way Threads does.

Questions

Does it change my links or hashtags? No. Links, #hashtags and @mentions are left exactly as you wrote them.

Is my text sent anywhere? No. The conversion happens in your browser; nothing is sent to Govir or stored.

Why are some short words lowercase in Title Case? Style guides keep articles, short conjunctions and short prepositions lowercase in titles, unless they're the first or last word.

Does it work with other languages? Yes for upper, lower and alternating case in any alphabet with capitals. Title Case keeps English small words lowercase; in other languages every word gets a capital.
