Having trouble connecting?

Connecting a Threads account takes you to Threads to approve access and then back to Govir. If something goes wrong, these steps fix most problems.

Threads shows “The user has not accepted the invite to test the app”

The user has not accepted the invite to test the app (error 1349245)

  • While Govir is in private beta, only Threads accounts invited as testers can connect. If Threads shows this message, the invite for your account hasn't been accepted yet.
  • In Threads (app or threads.com), signed in with the account you want to connect, open Settings → More settings → Website permissions and accept the invitation from Govir.
  • Then go back to Govir and connect again. Each Threads account needs its own accepted invite.

Start with the basics

  • Try again from Govir: every attempt uses a fresh, single-use link that is valid for 10 minutes.
  • Finish the whole flow in the same browser where you started it.
  • Allow cookies for govir.app and threads.com, and pause ad blockers or privacy extensions for these sites.
  • Still stuck? Try another browser, or a private window with extensions off.

You were asked to log in again

  • This happens when Threads sends you back to a browser where you are not logged in to Govir, for example when the Threads app opens a different browser.
  • Log in to Govir in that same browser within 10 minutes. You'll see which Threads account is about to be connected: press Connect to finish, or Cancel to discard it.
  • For your security, the connection can only be completed by the Govir account that started it, in the browser where you approved it on Threads.

The account is already connected

  • A Threads account can belong to one Govir workspace at a time.
  • Disconnect it in the other Govir account (Settings → Accounts), then connect it here.

Govir needs more permissions

  • Govir asks only for what it uses: your profile, publishing posts you create, and your post insights.
  • Approve all requested permissions on the Threads screen, then connect again.
  • To remove Govir's access later, open Threads → Settings → More settings → Website permissions.
